Friends provide vital support for our work. The Academy receives no regular government funding and therefore our friends and supporters are especially important to us. While box office and recording income cover much of our expenditure, we nevertheless need to raise funds each year to support our general running costs, our performances in the UK and our education and outreach programme.

There are three levels of membership:

Friends All members receive regular information about the orchestra, including priority booking for Academy concerts, advance notice of CD releases and invitations to special events.

Supporters Receive all the above, plus invitations to attend rehearsals and meet the players at pre-performance receptions. Supporters are credited in all programmes and publicity material.

Benefactors Receive all the above, plus invitations to travel with the orchestra on certain overseas tours and attend exclusive events hosted by Sir Neville Marriner and other orchestral patrons. Benefactors are credited in all programmes and publicity material.
