This April, we are bringing Create, Cultivate, Orchestrate! our flagship project for young people, to Sydney, Australia. Working in partnership with the Sydney Opera House and the Arts Unit, 30 young people aged between 12-18 will come together to work with animateur John Webb and Academy musicians Jo Hensel and Rachel Ingleton to create a new piece of music inspired by Academy repertoire. The young people will come from far and wide to perform their piece at the iconic Sydney Opera House for an audience of family and friends.

Project Outline
Friday 21st April:
10-5pm: Introductions and games, composition workshop begins
Saturday 22nd April 2017:
11am-2pm: Workshop continues
Afternoon: Watch the Academy’s rehearsal, followed by a Q&A session with the musicians
7pm: Watch the Academy’s performance with Joshua Bell at Sydney Opera House
Sunday 23rd April 2017:
9am-12pm: Final workshop session and rehearsal
1pm: Performance at Sydney Opera House
