Play your part in Ensemble Unheard
In September 2026 we are proud to be launching Ensemble Unheard. A musical community of people from all walks of life who come together to create and perform as an orchestra. Participants, including people experiencing homelessness and facing other life challenges, work alongside professional musicians in a space built on trust, curiosity, and creative risk. The group welcomes people picking up instruments for the first time and those reconnecting with music after years away. Through improvisation, shared responsibility, and joyful, vibrant performances, the group builds creative confidence and belonging.
To realise this vision, we are seeking donations of high-quality student instruments to facilitate the day-to-day running of the ensemble. The group is based on the foundations of creative empowerment, allowing musicians to take ownership of the music they are working on as a group. Having ownership of a collection of instruments will allow participants to return to the same instrument each week giving them the continuity they need to build technique, confidence and familiarity over time. It will also ensure the orchestra can grow sustainably, creating a lasting resource that supports participants now and for many years to come.

- Violins
- Cellos
- Guitars (Acoustic or Classical)
- Trombones
- Trumpets Baritone Horns

These instruments mean more than a collection of resources; they will form the heart of a programme that brings people together through musical ambition, shared creativity and the collective experience of making music, ensuring this new branch of our work continues to grow and thrive for years to come.
