PAtrons Tour 2026

Rheingau Musik Festival

“Delightful activities, interesting fun people and super music! Can’t wait for the next time!”
— Philippa John

Earlier this month, a group of ASMF Patrons travelled to Germany to experience the renowned Rheingau Musik Festival, enjoying an unforgettable blend of world-class music, culture and exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences.

Day One began with a private walking tour of Wiesbaden, offering Patrons the opportunity to discover the city’s rich history and elegant architecture, before travelling to the historic Kloster Eberbach. Here, Patrons enjoyed a guided strolling wine tour and tasting, immersing themselves in the heritage of this remarkable estate. The evening reached its finale with a breathtaking performance of Mozart’s Requiem by Tenebrae and the ASMF in Kloster Eberbach’s Basilica, followed by a post-concert drinks reception with ASMF Players.

On Day Two, Patrons enjoyed a guided visit to Museum Wiesbaden, followed by a delightful lunch at Schloss Johannisberg, where we had time to take in the stunning vineyard views overlooking the Rhine Valley. The trip concluded with an outstanding performance by Joshua Bell with a programme including Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto at the magnificent Kurhaus Wiesbaden, followed by a post-concert drinks reception with Joshua and the ASMF Players.

“The highlight of the experience was everything! The organisation, the hotel, the super group of folk, the concerts, the excursions and tours, the restaurants…what more can we say!”
— Victoria Ellis

Beyond the exceptional performances, the trip offered a wonderful opportunity for Patrons to spend time together, share conversations and and enjoy unique access to the artists. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the visit so memorable.

We look forward to welcoming more supporters on future musical adventures with ASMF. To register your interest in our Patrons’ trip in 2027 (Location TBC), please email development@asmf.org.

“It was an absolutely fabulous trip – very well organised, and I enjoyed every minute of it! It was wonderful meeting new patrons and getting to know the players and the orchestra management better (and even Joshua Bell!). Those personal connections make all the difference…It’s meaningful and rewarding to know that my contribution helps the ASMF continue its fantastic work!”
— Marianne Denzle
