Our free resources for schools allow your students to learn and explore music from across the ages. Devised and created by expert presenters and workshop leaders, the resources are fully interactive and packed with musical and cross-curricular learning.

Each project contains a series of videos and accompanying PDF resources, helping you make the most of the videos when using them with your class.

INSIDE THE MUSIC: THE BEACON PROJECT (KS1)

A series of fun, interactive films exploring three new commissions by some leading contemporary female composers: Eleanor Alberga’s Nightscape, Sally Beamish’s Partita, and Errollyn Wallen’s Concerto Grosso.

In this project, you can:

  • Create a nature-inspired soundscape
  • Explore how music makes you feel
  • Explore the role of a conductor
  • Do some musical mindfulness

INSIDE THE MUSIC: A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (KS2)

A series exploring Felix Mendelssohn’s masterpiece, inspired by our enchantind 2021 film A London Dream. This project unlocks the musical and cross-curricular potential of the work for Key Stage 2.

In this project, you can:

  • Learn how music and storytelling interact
  • Explore what it means to be an orchestral musician
  • Investigate music and the environment
  • Explore songwriting and composition
