OVERVIEW
The Academy’s first tour of the 2016/17 season visits Austria, Germany and Belgium with works by Mendelssohn, Prokofiev and Mozart. Violinist Julia Fischer (Vienna) and pianist Kit Armstrong (Cologne and Brussels) join the orchestra along the way for concertos by Beethoven and Mozart.
This tour was due to be conducted by Sir Neville Marriner, who sadly passed away on 2 October. The Academy will now perform this tour without a conductor, being directed by our Director / Leader Tomo Keller. Thank you for your patience and sympathy at this difficult time.
