What’s OnThe Academy of St Martin in the Fields directed by Tomo Keller unite again with pianist Jan Lisiecki. Lisiecki and ASMF bring a fresh approach to the music, pure joy in playing and the desire to make music together characterise orchestra and soloist alike. This was already evident in 2018, when Jan Lisiecki rescued a concert tour of ASMF and stood in for Murray Perahia, who was ill, with all five Beethoven concertos. The applause was magnificent and the album of the live recording was a huge success. The connection between the Canadian-Polish pianist and the traditional British ensemble has been a special one ever since, including a wonderfully reviewed tour of Germany and Austria in January 2025 lead by Tomo Keller.
