OVERVIEW

Joshua Bell leads the Academy’s first tour of 2017, visiting Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Austria and Germany with two Beethoven-filled programmes, and Arabella Steinbacher performs Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in Essen (12 January). The 12 January date was due to be conducted by Sir Neville Marriner, who sadly passed away on 2 October. We are grateful to conductor Michael Seal who has kindly agreed to conduct this performance in Sir Neville’s stead.
