A London Dream is a fresh and exciting interpretation of Felix Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, performed by the musicians of the Academy of St Martin in the Field and a love-struck and confused cast of young dancers. We follow the lovers across the capital as they grapple with the themes of love, in all its guises; magic; and, mischief, and our musicians, led by conductor Ryan Wigglesworth, bring this magical story to life.
Included in this section is a plot summary and character explanation video, helping you get the key points out of the story as you explore the music.
