The ASMF Orchestra joins director, Tomo Keller, as they travel to Spain for Bilbao’s MUSIKA-MÚSICA Festival in the first week of March. MUSIKA-MÚSICA is an annual classical music festival that has been held every year since 2002. It is a cultural event with an educational and informative purpose, serving to develop and maintain close connections with music schools and conservatories of the Basque Country and Spain. Each year, the programme revolves around a particular theme – with 2024 being ‘Music and Images’.
ASMF will be performing a programme of Mozart throughout the duration of the festival, with works spanning from his very first symphony – to his last. The ASMF Orchestra also looks forward to supporting our director, Tomo Keller, who will be performing as soloist for Mozart’s fifth violin concerto.
Programmes to include:
Mozart Symphony No.1 in Eb major, K.16
Mozart Symphony No.41 in C major, K. 551 ‘Jupiter’
Mozart Violin Concerto No.5 in A Maj, K.219 ‘Turkish’
Mozart Symphony No.25 in G minor, K.183
