This special concert marks the recent 80th birthday of one of Britain’s best-loved living composers. Howard Blake OBE has an inspired gift for melody. Quite simply, he writes beautiful music – The Snowman and much, much more.
The definitive version of the dramatic oratorio Benedictus, one of Blake’s finest choral works, was premiered in St Albans Cathedral in 1986.
