What’s OnIn this special performance the Academy of St Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble and St Martin’s Voices come together to explore Vaughan Williams Serenade to Music and Five Mystical Songs, alongside works by Dieterich Buxtehude and Pulitzer-prize winner Caroline Shaw. To the Hands was composed by Shaw in response to Buxtehude’s seventeenth century masterpiece Membra Jesu Nostri, reflecting on modern day crises of global suffering and the search for refuge.
